Course | Transversal Skills for Entering the Labour Market

Course objectives

The course aims to support participants in developing the essential soft skills needed to build and strengthen their professional profile, enabling a more conscious and sustainable transition into the labour market.

The programme seeks to:

  • improve communication skills, both in person and online;
  • strengthen the ability to work in teams and manage professional relationships;
  • increase awareness of stress and digital overload;
  • help participants value their personal and educational background from a professional perspective.

Methodology

The course adopts an interactive and experiential methodology, combining short theoretical inputs with practical exercises, guided discussions and group work. Content is constantly connected to real-life situations, encouraging peer exchange and reflection on participants’ personal experiences.

Programme Structure (12 hours)

The course is structured in 4 modules of 3 hours each.

Module 1 – Communicating in Person and Online

Effective feedback in the digital era

Objectives
  • recognise the main communication styles;
  • give and receive feedback constructively;
  • adapt communication to different channels (in person, email, chat, calls);
  • develop an assertive communication style.
Contents
  • components of effective communication;
  • communication styles: passive, aggressive, assertive;
  • constructive feedback: structure and common mistakes;
  • online communication and netiquette.

Module 2 – Working Well with Others

Building effective professional relationships

Objectives
  • develop teamwork skills;
  • maintain positive professional relationships;
  • prevent and manage conflicts constructively.
Contents
  • dynamics and phases of group work;
  • relational styles and team climate;
  • communication flexibility according to roles and contexts;
  • types of conflict and basics of negotiation.

Module 3 – Managing Stress and Focus

Brain, multitasking and digital overload

Objectives
  • recognise the main stress factors;
  • identify signals of digital overload;
  • improve focus and time management;
  • develop strategies to enhance performance.
Contents
  • stress and its main causes;
  • effects of multitasking and information overload;
  • signs of digital stress;
  • good practices for time and energy management.

Module 4 – Valuing Your Personal Story

Presenting yourself for the labour market

Objectives
  • identify key steps in one’s personal journey;
  • recognise strengths, skills and values;
  • build a personal narrative oriented toward study and work;
  • translate one’s story into personal branding tools.
Contents
  • personal storytelling and professional identity;
  • the “common thread” of one’s path;
  • personal branding for young professionals;
  • coherence between CV, online profiles and oral presentation.

Skills Developed

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • communicate more effectively and assertively;
  • work in teams and manage professional relationships;
  • recognise and manage stress and digital overload;
  • value their personal and educational background;
  • present themselves more confidently and coherently in professional contexts.

A learning pathway designed to strengthen self-awareness, communication and employability, placing the individual and their personal journey at the centre.

Delivery mode
Online, synchronous format with live sessions, discussion moments and open questions with the trainer.

In line with the principles of inclusion and equal opportunities promoted by the Erasmus+ Programme, EuGen provides a one-off contribution of €250, granted as a reduction of the course registration fee, for participants who are in a documented situation of economic disadvantage.

The contribution is allocated until the available funds are exhausted and is reserved for those belonging to households with income or asset indicators below the thresholds established by the national regulations of the country of residence. Requests may be submitted by email, attaching documentation certifying the economic condition. Applications are assessed in accordance with the principles of confidentiality, data protection and non-discrimination.
