Brussels Learn Mobility | Three days at the heart of EuropeThanks to the Erasmus+ project Skill Up for Europe, EuGen will offer participants in its learning programmes the opportunity to apply for a 3-day group mobility in Brussels and experience learning directly at the heart of the European Union.
The mobility is designed to complement the learning undertaken with EuGen with a concrete, experiential European dimension: discovering the EU institutions first-hand, understanding how European policies affect everyday life, and engaging with organisations and professionals working every day in the European context.
Discover the programme | From training to a European experienceThe Brussels mobility is an additional opportunity alongside EuGen courses.
During their learning programmes, participants will be introduced to the project and, if they meet the eligibility requirements of the Erasmus+ Adult Education programme, they will be able to apply to take part in one of the mobility groups.
The aim is to give learners the opportunity to connect what they have learned during their training with a real European context, while strengthening their knowledge of the European Union, civic participation and sense of belonging to a wider European community.
Not only learning about Europe, but experiencing it first-hand.
What you will experience in BrusselsThe programme combines visits to the European institutions, learning activities, and meetings with organisations and professionals working in the field of European policies and programmes.
Days 1 and 2 | Discovering the European institutionsDuring the first two days, visits and learning activities are planned at some of the key places that symbolise European integration
■ European Commission
To understand the Commission’s executive role, how European policies work, and the relationship between the Union’s priorities and its funding programmes.
■ European Parliament and Parlamentarium
To explore the European legislative process, the role of elected representatives, and the democratic functioning of the Union.
■ House of European History
To explore the process of European integration and reflect on the concepts of identity, citizenship and shared European memory.
Day 3 | Europe through the eyes of those who work there every dayThe third day will be dedicated to meeting organisations and professionals working in Brussels.
■ gain a deeper understanding of how European Union policies and programmes work;
■ learn about ongoing European projects and understand how they are implemented in practice;
■ meet professionals working in the European context;
■ exchange views on opportunities offered by the European Union;
■ explore selected European policies, including those related to artificial intelligence and social policy.
The approved project includes cooperation with organisations in EuGen’s network based in Brussels, including Encre, the Italian-Belgian Chamber of Commerce and the Representation of the Lazio Region to the EU, as well as other partners that may be involved in shaping the programme.

What you will take away from the experienceBy the end of the experience, participants will have developed:
■ A more concrete understanding of the European Union
A better understanding of the role of the main European institutions and how EU policies are developed and implemented.
■ Greater awareness of the impact of European policies
The ability to connect issues such as artificial intelligence, social policies, rights and the single market with citizens’ everyday lives.
■ Greater awareness of European citizenship
A stronger sense of belonging to the Union and a better understanding of their role as European citizens.
■ First-hand experience of the European dimension
Moving from theoretical learning to direct engagement with institutions, organisations and professionals working in Brussels.
How the mobility worksEach mobility will involve a group of 10 learners and will include 3 days of activities in Brussels.
The group will be accompanied by a senior member of EuGen staff, who will support participants and facilitate the activities.
EuGen will manage the preparation of the mobility, organisational and logistical arrangements, and coordination with the host organisations, with particular attention to participants’ specific needs and the accessibility of the activities.
Two mobility groups
For the 2026/2027 academic year, two group mobility activities are planned, involving a total of 20 participants.
The dates of the upcoming mobility activities and the related calls for applications will be published on this page.
If you are interested in participating, write to us at info@eu-gen.org: we will keep you updated on the mobility dates and the opening of applications.
The mobility activities are organised within the Skill Up for Europe project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme in the field of Adult Education.
The project provides financial support for mobility costs, in accordance with the conditions and funding amounts established by the Erasmus+ Programme. Eligibility requirements, selection criteria and financial conditions, including arrangements for covering and reimbursing travel and accommodation costs, will be specified in the relevant call for applications.
How participants will be selectedParticipation will be subject to a dedicated selection call.
The assessment will take into account:
■ motivation to take part in the mobility;
■ interest in European issues;
■ willingness to connect the Brussels experience with their learning pathway;
■ participation in a EuGen learning programme.
If the number of applications exceeds the available places, priority will be given to participants with fewer opportunities, in line with the inclusion and diversity principles of the Erasmus+ Programme.
Before, during and after BrusselsBefore departure
Participants will receive dedicated preparation on the objectives of the mobility, the European institutions, intercultural aspects and the practical organisation of the experience.
During the mobility
EuGen will accompany the group throughout the programme and coordinate with the host organisations and professionals involved.
After the mobility
Participants will take part in a debriefing and reflection session, connecting what they observed in Brussels with the topics addressed during their learning pathway.
The project also includes pre- and post-mobility questionnaires and a short final individual or group assignment to reflect on and showcase the learning outcomes achieved.
Skill Up for Europe is an Erasmus+ project coordinated by EuGen – European Generation in the field of Adult Education.
The project aims to strengthen the European dimension of EuGen’s learning offer through international learning experiences, encourage adults’ participation in European opportunities, and make mobility more accessible to people with fewer opportunities.
